CJ Turner, Inc. has been providing case management, vocational rehabilitation and reintegration training services for over 10 years throughout the continental United States and abroad.
CJ Turner, Inc. has a pending opportunity for you to intervene and advocate for severely injured military service members and their families. You would help identify resources and contacts within the appropriate military, federal, state, territorial and local agencies that provide benefits and services available in your area. You will act as a liaison between the service member and their families, the service members’ unit, and the Military Severely Injured Center. You will provide much needed advocacy to the service members’ physical, emotional, and financial health to ensure that these heroes are not left behind.
Duties Include, but not limited too:
- Establish relationships with severely injured service members and their families
- Provide database support to the Military Severely Injured Center
- Provide needs assessments for physical, emotional, educational, family, financial, and other concerns
- Coordinate physical accommodations, including personal mobility, home, auto, and workplace
- Provide resources and referrals to address psychological issues, as well as couple, family, and other interpersonal relationships issues
- Assist in educational and job re-training as well as job placement
- Assist military service members and their families with medical and ancillary support services
- Financial support referral and assistance
- Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to identify and address all needs of the wounded service member and family
- Maintain records of care management services and referrals
- Perform ongoing follow up as required for the duration of service provision
- Maintain knowledge base and working relationship with public and private resources
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in clinical discipline (vocational rehabilitation, social work, counseling psychology, nursing).
- Background or experience with organizations assisting people with disabilities
- Good organizational, time management and analytical skills are required
- Strong interpersonal skills are a must
- Working knowledge of the military and veterans administration preferred
- Military, health plan or insurance experience preferred
- Must live within 50 miles of assigned Military Installation or Medical Facility
- Must have or must be eligible to be covered under Professional Liability Insurance
- Must be a U.S Citizen
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must have proficient computer skills including email and internet capability
- Qualified applicants must undergo a background check and may be required to obtain a government Security Clearance
